"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
They could cast Rosie O'Donnell as the lead in The Jane Fonda Story.
ReplyDeleteWith Sean Penn as Ronald Reagan, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteIt follows from Meryl Streeep as Mrs Thatcher.
ReplyDeleteBut don't give them ideas, Deadman. Horrible thought. I could actually see George Clooney being cast, but they couldn't get him to bury his hatred and play it.
So, Paco, does this meaan you're giving up your day job?
ReplyDeleteMakes you wan't to vomit, doesn't it? Of course, Liam Neeson as LBJ sounds like a winner as well.
YoJ: I'm havin' a real hard time seeing Neeson as LBJ.
ReplyDeleteBoy, that movie sounds like a sure-fire blockbuster!
ReplyDeleteThey need a conservative to play Reagan. Maybe they can get Arnold to do it. He can say "Mr Gorbachev , tear down this wall!", then start blasting the wall with a minigun.
It's just another Hollywood hit piece, like "Game Change". I won't bother to see it.
ReplyDeleteYeah, yeah, whatever - Forget it, Jake, it's Leftyland.
ReplyDeleteI wonder who's playing Ronnie? Surely not Penn, he's a midget.
As for LBJ, they could do worse than Don Moffat, who played him in "The Right Stuff"...
Deborah Leigh said...This won't make any money, because the Lefties hate the Reagans so much that even when one of their own is cast, they don't go. "Thatcher" came and went as did "Game Change". The only thing to come of either one was a write off for the studio. It's too much to hope for that they won't get a distribution deal.
ReplyDeletePaco, what's next? A remake of "Mrs. Doubtfire"?
