Rest in Peace

Rabbi Jonathan Sandler, his two sons, and an eight-year-old girl were gunned down in a motorcycle drive-by shooting in Toulouse, Monday morning.

Our prayers go up for the repose of their souls, for the comfort of their families, and for the speedy apprehension of the murderer.

  2. That act of murder was described as "insane", but since it was obviously aimed at Jews (and small children, no less), I'd say it was a deliberate act of hate. "Insane" is to give the murderer cover for his actions, and I absolutely repudiate that.

  3. Deborah Leigh said...These poor people were murdered, assasinated, not killed. The term "killed" does not convey the evil of this cold blooded act, but in fact lessens the impact to that of say, a traffic accident. Nor is this a "drama" as prosecutor Michel Valet termed it. RebeccaH was correct in her assessment as well. It would be nice if people understood the impact of words.

Hopefully the murderer/assasin will be caught quickly before he can carry out anymore horrific acts. Unfortunately, this creature will be remanded to life in prison, rather than the justice that should be served.

My deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the murdered. My thoughts and prayers are for their entire community. Bless them all.
