Stacy McCain has a few choice words for Steve Schmidt, a former aide to John McCain who is making something of a career attacking Sarah Palin.
Reminds me of the old saying: some are born douchebags, some achieve douchebaggery, others have douchebaggery thrust upon them. With respect to Schmidt...I'm thinking born.

The notion of Sarah Palin being president (even though that's not the office she was running for) frightened this untrustworthy little dweeb, but he has no problem with Joe Biden?

Deborah Leigh said...Hopefully no Republican candidate will hire Schmidt. Schmidt may not have been working for the Dems during the campaign, but he sure is this time, much like former RNC Chair Richard Bond. Bond endorsed Congressman Howard Berman (D-CA) for re-election recently. These two are about as Republican as Ron Paul. It's times like this that I wish there was excommunication. Better yet, would be old cavalry style dishonorable discharging where the rank insignia was stripped from the uniform, and the sword broken.
ReplyDeleteOn the Rich Bond stuff, you should be a little more tolerant. No Republican can win the seat, but ultra lefty Brad Sherman whose campaign consultant was also Tom Hayden's consultant is bragging that he can beat moderate Howard Berman by getting more liberal votes in the primary while the top Republican makes the runoff. Bond simply reminded voters that it is more important to send a representative than it is to send a message and argued everyone should vote for Berman in the primary. He may be wrong, but it's not that much of a stretch.
