Deborah Leigh said...We (Richard McEnroe and I) celebrated Earth Day a bit early (Saturday) by taking a all day drive over to the coast. The usually sunny scenic drive along the southern California coast could not be dampened by the fog bank that rolled in. There were plenty of people out, surfers and biker. The highlight of the day was watching a small pod of California Grey whales (mothers and calves) migrating north. What a delight! Especially when one lifted his/her beautiful tail (white outlined in black) completely out of the water, and another sky-hopped or raised its' head out! Now that's what I call an Earth Day.
