Jim Treacher – the undisputed leader of conservatives’ Twitter guerilla war against the president’s reelection campaign – is having a high old time with the campaign’s new slogan.
Update: Ace is having fun with it, too.
Update II: No reason I can't play.
Update III: Another guy who got some mileage from the "Forward" slogan.
"Forward to Communism!"
Update IV: One last one, for good measure.
Update V: That wild man of the interwebs, TimT, composes a campaign hymn (from the comments section):
Move forward, comrades!
Forth into the past!
Eyes firmly fixed behind us
As we charge back very fast!
Move forward, comrades!
Never wavering or slowing -
We don't know where we come from,
But we do know where we're going!
Move forward, comrades!
Forth into the past!
The only thing can stop us now
Is ultimate disast

ReplyDeleteYour Custer pic gave me my comment for Treacher's site:
ReplyDelete"General Custerobama mounts his trusty steed Axelrod, draws his sword, points it toward the enemies list, and shouts: "Forward!".
You probably could use Stalin, or Mao, or one of those other truly brutal psychopaths for an inspiration for slogans, but they were rather more stalwart in their murderousness than Barry the Metrosexual. Probably some faceless, yet well=dressed and fashionably slim Eurocrat would do as well.
"Forward, okay?"
'Forward'! He appears to be plundering our PM Julia Gillard's owned hopeless, changeless slogan used in the 2011 election.

Rebecca: Very good! I can almost see the official painting, hanging in the Oval Office
ReplyDelete"Forward, into the Past!" was the title of a Firesign Theatre album
ReplyDeleteDeborah Leigh said...Obama just keeps giving. First it was the gloading Bin Laden spot meant to be a slap to Romney. This from the man who waited 16 hours to give his approval. Not to mention the use of Clinton who was too involved watching a game of golf to take Bin Laden down.
ReplyDeleteNow, there is "Forward" with all it's history. Of course, the downside is that there are so many people who don't know the history, and some who do embrace the communist usage.
One should always consult Billy Gilbert and Artie Sullivan:
