You might need a microscope to see the progress

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is defying a hold put on the disbursement of funds to Palestine by Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. At least she has a good reason:
"[The funds deliver] critical support to the Palestinian people and those leaders seeking to combat extremism within their society and build a more stable future. Without funding, our programs risk cancellation," the official, who was not authorized to speak about the issue, said in an e-mail. "Such an occurrence would undermine the progress that has been made in recent years in building Palestinian institutions and improving stability, security, and economic prospects, which benefits Israelis and Palestinians alike.”
Hey, all that payola is really yielding some great benefits:
A Palestinian Authority minister stated last month that the Palestinians should unite in order to focus on the destruction of Israel.
The next president is going to need one hell of a big broom and dustpan to clean up the mess left by Obama and his gang.

"And I'll be out of well-paid, cushy, do-nothing job," the official added.

Deborah Leigh said...Since Hillary is so gung ho on these programs, I'm sure she is or might be interested in supporting the trips to Israel for college kids. These are all expense paid trips that promote the victimization of the "Palestinians". "Indoctrination" is such an ugly word, but so appropo.

Translation of the Secretary's remarks: The Palestinian bigshots are threatened with a cutoff of the money they funnel into their Swiss bank accounts, and unless we bribe them we have no influence over them at all.

I have long thought that if people really wanted to halt the conflict between Israel and the Palis, they would cut off the Palis from all international welfare payments. If the Palis had to work for a living, instead of living off the dole from the UN, the US, and the patsy Euros, they would not have time for a war against Israel.

Let them work or starve. Frankly, I don't care which option they choose, but let it be by their own choice.
