OT As most everyone knows, Obama had dinner at George Clooney's house last night in Los Angeles, Studio City to be exact. The chicken and hors d'oeuveres (or is that horse d'oeuveres) better have been good for $40,000 a plate. But I digress. Obama, in usual fashion, tied up traffic. First he flew in on Air Force One, then for some reason, took his helicopter to my neighborhood. He landed at Campbell Hall, which is a K-12 Episcopal college prep school. Very upscale. From there he took the drive to Clooney's which is situated "south of the boulevard", meaning Ventura Blvd. South is more desirable since it is the famous Hollywood Hills. I live north of the boulevard.
Now, there have been other presidents who have taken the helicopter and limo with them. But to use them for this trip? The only reason that I can think of is that he has alot of Angelenos upset because he is the first to make a mess of traffic. Oh, and what about the environment? Anyway, now to the point. On my way home from dinner with Richard M, the police were putting up the barracades near my home, which they told me was for Barry. I almost stayed just to give him a thumbs down, or show him a Gadsen flag, but then, my time is worth more to me than Obama.
