An American icon of science fiction and fantasy stories, Ray Bradbury, has died at 91. The Telegraph has a wonderful obituary.
One of my favorite Bradbury novels is Dandelion Wine, because few, if any, authors succeeded like Bradbury in creating such evocative word pictures of small-town America, and, in this book, he was at the top of his form. Among what are probably his lesser-known works, I’d recommend his later noir fiction (one example of which, Death is a Lonely Business, was a Paco library feature).

Ah, what a loss! Bradbury is one my favorite authors, as demonstrated by the number of titles on my shelves. He's up there with Heinlein and Asimov.
Yes I loved all those novels when I read them as a 10-12 year old soon after they were published I think. Somthing Wicked This Way Comes... great memories. I feel very lucky to have been in 'Bradbury generation'. All this Potter nonsense doesn't compare.
