So, why are the escalators in the Bay Area Rapid Transit system so frequently out of service? Believe me, you don’t want to know.

oh good grief. Almost lost my dinner!
Meh, it's San Francisco, home of Nancy Pelosi. They're used to a lot of crap.
HAW!
Miss Red: I told you!
Seriously, though, is there any place of beauty, any jewel of human achievement, any great city, that progressives haven't messed up once they gained the upper hand?
Let's see...... Washington, DC.... Chicago..... Detroit..... New Orleans.... Los Angeles..... Seattle..... Portland...... Miami...... New York...... Minneapolis..... Saint Louis.....
Might be a few out there. Not many.
This is why Clayton Cramer's take on deinstituionalizion of the mentally ill is so pertinent.
For anyone who has a loved one in this situation, as I do, "My Brother Ron" will be an eye-opener.
And it will explain a lot about why our cities have become sinkholes for the homeless.
Of course, my comment might have had more impact if I could actually spell "deinsitutionalization".
Ok, you say it three times real fast!
Drat.
I just said it three times real fast, perfectly (hey, you can't prove I didn't!)
BTW, Rebecca, that's a good article by Clayton Cramer.
Among many interesting observations, he points out that there seems to be a link between mental illness and intelligence. Probably explains why I am so well adjusted.
Probably explains why I am so well adjusted.
As am I. That might also explain why liberals are so screwed up.
If they truly are as intelligent as they imagine themselves to be.
R-man: I bet there's also a link between mental illness and imagining that one is intelligent.
