"And I can hit almost as well as I pitch"

I don't get it. Is this supposed to be some kind of Salvador-Dali-like attempt at surrealism? If so, where's the floppy national debt clock?

The president is supposedly talking to the Turkish prime minister about Syria, so maybe the subliminal message is that Obama speaks softly but carries a big stick (Sheesh! He's not back to mimicking previous presidents again is he?)

Anyhow, it looks like caption time, to me.

'A Turk, eh? You a pitcher or a catcher, big boy?'

"Next time you visit, Erd, I thought we'd get in a quick game of cricket. I know you like cricket. I've even got my own bat."

"Yes, I'll be available by the start of nest season."

I've always dreamed about being part of the Lansing Lugnut team."

Yes, I do have management experience and I can multitask. I should have no problem running the scoreboard and announcing at the same time."

“Yes, Prime Minister, I did receive your present. I stick it where?”

"Okay Souza, shoot the picture through the closet doors, down near the ground, as if you're sneaking a candid shot. Wait 'til I pick up the phone. How's the lighting? Good? Okay, fire away."

I do have a favourite bat … after I regained consciousness, I decided not to call it Shellee.
