Let's go!

Rubio was charismatic tonight; I think he may well be president someday.

Eastwood looked surprisingly...old. He rambled quite a bit, but he got in a couple of good shots at B.O.

Romney touched all the bases. As good a speech as he's delivered yet, I'd imagine.

Ryan was in the audience; cool and confident. But I'd caution him not to get cocky about debating Joe Biden. Joe might just surprise...oh, hold on a minute. I'm getting a text message from Joe right now...


Um, never mind.

    I have noticed most folks look old when they're 82 unless they've been living at the plastic surgeon's office. Then they look old and scary.

    I should point out that I wasn't making a dig at Eastwood. It's just that I haven't seen him in any public appearances for years, so his old age sort of crept up on me.

    I fear that 2016 might be too late to elect Rubio. Sorry to be such a gloomy Gus but another four years of an unrestrained President and we might not have an electoral system to come home to.

    The forces of darkness will be working 24,7,365 to bend that system to suit their wishes.

    I was sad to see Clint Eastwood looking so old, myself, but then I glanced over at the mirror and thought, "Who am I kidding?"

    Don't think for a minute that Eastwood was rambling in a speech. He was giving a performance, and it was spot on, and devastating to Obama. If you need proof, just tune into the shrill screaming from the lefty media today.

    That was my thought, too. Perhaps a bit slowed by age, but still a classic Clint Eastwood delivery.

    The Lunatic Fringe has been tweeting that Eastwood was the "dementia" speaker at the RNC convention.

    Now, the DNC is thinking they need to match it at their convention.

    So, Chris Matthews has been scheduled.
