A show of hands, please

How many of you agree with White House spokesparrot Jay Carney that the fanatical mobs that are attacking American embassies and consulates, burning our flag, and murdering our diplomatic and military personnel are not directing their anger at the United States?

Ok, that was an easy count. Now, how many of you believe that this latest round of violence - which erupted on September 11th - is all because of a low-budget movie that disses Big Mo - a movie, you may recall, that nobody ever heard of?

Uh huh. Similar count. One last question. How many of you believe that Obama's policy toward triumphalist Muslims is to tolerate the hell out of them? To appease them back to the stone age?

Ok, thanks. Just conducting a little reality check among my readers. You all passed with flying colors.

  1. A correction to your second to last paragraph. I believe it should read "to appease us back to the stone age."

  2. I was speaking ironically; however, I think you're probably right.

  3. The stupid video is not a "cause", it is a "part".

A wheel is not a "cause", it is a "part".

  4. I'm going to bed now. With a handful of Tums and sleep aid. My stomach can't take anymore "reasonable explanations" from the White House.

  5. to RebeccaH--

I, too, am going to bed shortly, secure in the knowledge that our house guest who, "has never shot a gun but would like to" will get his wish fulfilled tomorrow.

    I can't to wake up!

  6. I'm with relatives in a different part of the state, and we are going to have fun tomorrow. That's because I am putting this computer away tonight, and ignoring the freakin' idiot in the White House.

  8. I haven't paid too close attention, surely someone has suggested that the rioting and murders in Libya, Egypt, etc were caused by someone who doesn't like the health care bill (ie Bloomberg) or only because they don't like Obama just because he is black or caused by something Sarah Palin posted on facebook?

  9. The "movie" was just a small spark.

Islam is a large room full of flammable gas.

Add together, and you see the results.

  10. I'm pretty sure that the press is saying that it is Romney's fault.

  11. I'm pretty sure that the Prez views this issue (Moslems murdering non-moslems and/or even different flavored Moslems)as a freedom of religion issue which, as we have seen by government actions, is WAAAAAY more important than that pesky freedom of speech issue, particularly when Christians in America attempt to claim freedom of speech.

  12. I'm pretty sure that I've done enough before noon today to piss off Moslems that should cause widespread rioting (and looting).

    (1) I drove to the grocery store (without my husband's permission!) and picked up beer for grilling beer butt chicken.

    (2) I cooked bacon and sausage for breakfast.

    (3) I fed Mohammed, the hog, who is my future supply of bacon, and

    (4) I wore customary summer garb of shorts and rubber boots in full view of the nearest neighbors, who were similarly attired, while doing my feeding chores.

  13. I'm pretty sure that the Islamic Rage du jour has to do with the bacon sundae that Burger King had on its menu this summer.

  15. Swampy: I've reason to susptect that in addition to that list of crimes, you've also at some stage not only spoken to a male who is not a relative of yours, but that on occasion you have initiated such a conversation!

  16. Steve at the Pub, it is even worse than you suspect. I have actually been the only female on a construction crew, and I was (gasp) the boss.

  21. Wathcing the video of the press conference, I couldn't believe the assembled reporters didn't roll on the floor laughing. Talk about compliant lap-dogs.
