Speaking at an event in Fairfax, Virginia, a relaxed and confident President Barack Obama had plenty of witty retorts and quotable sound bites to aim at his challenger Mitt Romney. He's like the kid who stands on his porch shouting insults at the bigger kid out on the street - the one who recently thrashed him soundly - secure in the knowledge that he is only a few steps from the safety of his front door.
The problem was that they came a day and a half after he had been demolished by Romney during the first presidential debate in Denver and were scripted and delivered with the aid of a pair of teleprompters flanking the stage.
Update: Haw! Romney's cheat sheet.
The most pathetic thing about Obama's post-debate comebacks is that he thinks nobody will see them for what they are.
ReplyDeleteAnd, he may be right, Rebecca. After all, a whole lot of people don't see him for what he is.
ReplyDeleteWrong analogy. The Empty Suit is the bully trying to hold together his gang of lickspittles with tough talk after getting thrashed by the new loner in town. In Jim Croce's universe, Obama is Big Jim Walker.
ReplyDeleteI think he deserves a second chance, with easier questions and no math.
ReplyDeleteCheers
No further proof needed that the guy is a puppet.
