Didn't watch it myself, but these folks did. Sorry to be ugly and racially divisive and all, but it looks like a clear win for Romney.
Update: Bob Owens has the best visual of the evening.

"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Best tweet of the night, IMO: MSNBC's flag at half mast.
ReplyDeleteChris Matthews freaks out!
ReplyDeleteOnly time I've ever enjoyed listening to this cretin.
Heh heh heh heh!
My son and I watched (it started at 11:00, Hobart time) and gave it all points to Romney and zero to the big O.
ReplyDeleteAfter laughing when Romney said that Obama may have his own house and plane but not his own facts, I read a tweet which said that Romney had bitch-slapped Obama; my son (15), said, “he bitch-slapped him, and then went over to his house and dumped on his lawn.”
Deborah Leigh said...This probably wasn't the anniversary gift that Barry was thinking of, but hey, to sir with love, signed US. Barry is fire ready. The clear indication that Romney was the winner is the usual syncophants milling around like distraught Daleks. CNN said Romney won 67 to 25. Frank Luntz said he has never a swing this big in a focus group! Skidoosh! It is a fair bet that the phones will be ringing off the hooks with donations!

ReplyDeleteYep, that's the winner.
Greg Sheridan, the foreign affairs editor of The Australian, opines: “As you’d expect from someone as smart as Obama, he didn’t make any big mistakes.”
ReplyDeleteSee, once you accept this silly notion that Obama’s a genius, the next step must be to find ways of rationalising how he looks so dumb whenever he has no TelePrompTer.
If, however, you start with the null-hypothesis that Obama is far from smart, it’s easier to make a better assessment: “As you’d expect from someone as far from smart as Obama, he didn’t say anything remotely clever.”
Deborah Leigh said...The Left circled the wagons, with the best coming from Al Gore, 'It was the altitude.' Well, this begs a thread from the gifted readers here. What do you think was the reason that the empty chair is now kindling?
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh out loud at Chris Matthews' meltdown. That tingle up his leg became a warm trickle down his leg, I think.
