"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Doncha know? These days, our betters consider calling their spouses a "volunteer" ...... vulgar.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, come to think of it, you could call any floozie found during a bar crawl an "unpaid social liaison".
ReplyDeleteMan, I wish I could get some of that unpaid social liaison... every time I want some, they tell me I gotta pay for it. Nobody ever offers me a veteran's discount.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Steve. If anybody knows where to find these "unpaid social liaisons", let me know.
ReplyDeleteDarn! Just looked at the definition of liaison. One meaning is: a:communication for establishing and maintaining mutual understanding(as between parts of an armed force)b:one that establishes and maintains liaison
Oh. Nevermind.
Steve:
ReplyDeleteThe 'veteran's discount' is supposed to be about military service, not about how much rumpty-bumpty expertise you claim to have.
Cheers
