Busted flush

President Obama’s choice for ambassador to France, investment banker and (surprise!) big Democratic fundraiser , Marc Lasry, has pulled his name from consideration:
The Manhattan billionaire President Obama wanted to appoint ambassador to France turned down the prestigious position over ties to an alleged Russian mob-run poker ring that was laundered through a Carlyle hotel art gallery, sources told The Post.
Too bad. Lasry is probably the least ethically-challenged person Obama has tried to bring into government.

Barry, the water you happen to be walking on is ice, and it’s beginning to crack.

  1. Until I read this, I was willing to give the benefit of doubt to Holder. But this is a deliverate act to thwart America.

  3. I'm not at all surprised, er, Vobert.

If there was genuine transparency in this administrations, "ha-ha!" would be appended to "Department of Justice" on Holder's business cards.

  4. From what I can tell, Professor Reynolds thinks he should have been "Mirandized" before he was even loaded into the ambulance. I'm not a daily Instapundit reader, so I would be genuinely pleased to be corrected on this.

I would suggest the Prof's view of 'Miranda, etc' is rather more nuanced.
