It's not too difficult to understand. The Dems propose to ram through the Seante a gun control bill, in violation of the Second Amendment in intent, with minimal debate. Reid plans a replay of the Obamacare "debate" for gun control. Paul and Cruz propose to prevent this scheme. Furthermore, since no "gun control" proposals now extant would actually prevent another event of mass shooting, the actual purpose of the proposed legislation is not what is stated, but to expand the Federal Government's control over the people. Paul and Cruz and many others of us object to that goal. Paul and Cruz, therefore, propose to prevent the Senate's power grab legislation from coming to a vote.
Oh, McCain understands, right enough. It's just that Cruz and Paul are stealing his thunder, when McCain is supposed to be the "Maverick". Hence the public tantrums.
It's long past time for the "Maverick" to head out to pasture.
Military hero he may be, and I salute him for that, but there is much that John McCain doesn't understand.
