Lois Lerner, a high IRS panjandrum and one of the most important figures in the controversy over IRS targeting of conservatives, has announced through her attorney that she intends to plead the Fifth if she is called before Rep. Issa’s Oversight Committee.

Hey, this is shaping up to be almost as interesting as the Kefauver hearings - although the subject matter is different: one of these committees pertains to the investigation of a massive criminal enterprise and its corrupting influence on government and society, and the other pertains to the Mafia.
