Fifteen Republicans support cloture vote on the immigration bill.
My basic rule of thumb: if Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer are for it, Republicans should be against it.
Oh, and the beefed up border security measures in the Corker/Hoeven amendment are pure sleight of hand. A future Senate (and House, if this monstrosity is passed into law) is under no obligation to provide the necessary funding.

ReplyDeleteRush pointed out the other day that they already passed a law to build 700 miles of border fence.
And they actually built 30 something. So, once again, they only observe the laws they want to.
Rob Portman voted nay, good for him, but Sherrod Brown didn't vote at all, like the yellow-bellied Democrat he is.

ReplyDeleteRebeccaH: Interesting about Brown's non-vote. He must have listened to his union pals, but couldn't bring himself to vote against Obama.
Deborah .... Everyone who voted for this has broken their Oath of Office. They proved their support for open borders/anti-sovereignty. It seems clear that a lawsuit is needed.
