The discriminating burglar

Hmmm. Two people broke into the offices of a law firm that is representing a State Department whistleblower and took three computers, ignoring other items of obvious value (e.g., silver bars), and leaving an adjacent office that had more than a dozen computers completely untouched.

How strangely…selective.

“Any allegation that the Department of State authorized someone to break into Mr. Schulman’s law firm is false and baseless,” spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.

Authorized?

Does she really think we're that stupid? Yeah, they advertised for bids in the local papers..."Looking for bids: covert information gathering. Local. Previous experience desired. Must be trustworthy. U.S. Department of State"

Maybe it was a case of Sudden Obamaphilia Syndrome (or Hillaryphilia).

"What difference does it make?"

(I think that's the Dept of State's new motto.)

Is that the same Jen Psaki who insisted, quite strongly, that SoS Lurch was NOT on his yacht while Morsi was being deposed?

Why, yes, Spiny, I believe it is.

Pardon me for feeling something suspicious in my spiny senses. >_>

I don't see how your spiny senses could be doing anything other than tingling madly in the current environment.

Deborah .... Spiny, Paco, it depends on the meaning of "on". Or perhaps a top secret location developed a thingamagig to allow one to be in two places at once. Nah. Probably just Democrats being Democrats. Jen got a A+ and a pat on the head from Hillary.

The allegation is false and baseless; the truth is a different matter ...

I wonder if anyone will bother to investigate. Probably not.

The FBI is, ummm, investigating. So, "burying the story" is well under way.

Spiny: That shouldn't take long, what with the FBI's new streamlined investigating techniques (i.e., not questioning the victims).
