The yankee government reopens

But I'll be sticking around the command center for an extra day or so, since I've come down with a bad chest cold and severe bronchitis.

In re the end to the government shutdown, I'm sure we're all delighted to see that at least Mitch McConnell got something out of it (this is a perfect example of what I was saying the other day when I suggested that the Democrats and establishment Republicans are just rival gangs fighting over the same taxpayer territory).

Update: The real legacy of the government shutdown (regular Americans still have the spirit to resist tyranny).

Don't think for a moment that was not noticed. You can bet your last dollar they are crafting plans to deal with that in the future as we speak.

  5. Deborah....Let me add my name to the "get well" card, with thanks and admiration for dedication to the task of running the Command Center while ill. The votes last night and the Lonegran loss probably enhanced the feeling of sickness, yet here you are. Thank you! By-the-way, isn't meade medicinal?

As to the picture. My favorite was the veteran standing on prosthetic legs on his Segway as he takes a Barrycade down to the White House.

The actions last night are disheartening. How do the American people proceed? Sunday was wonderful, but in the bigger picture, what did it achieve? The Imperial President sneered at the patriots.

    Get well soon, Paco!

  6. Of course President Zero sneered, it's what asshats do. But patriots gave him The Finger -- and the jerk knows it.

The final results of the brinksmanship are disappointing, but not unexpected. But now we know who stands by their principles....and who does not.

  7. I hate bronchitis. I hope you kick its ass so that it doesn't come back this winter.

  8. Wouldn't you love to know what Obo the Clown thought/said when he found out the rabble was at the gates of the Spite House?

I bet it wasn't "Hey, they're my people, I have to go out and encourage them!"

  9. Lest we in the peasantry lose hope, let us remember two words:

    Marie Antoinette.

  11. Thank you all for your good wishes. I am sufficiently recovered that I feel emboldened to stagger off to work today.

  12. McConell needs to get the boot, along with Boner and the entire "professional" Republican crew. Tea Party uber alles!
