"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Given how well eucalyptus trees grow in Southern California, I expect that Jerry Brown is paying specially close attention to this development.
ReplyDeleteBut knowing how crazy everything is Down Under, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if this only happens on Oz.
Where, incidentally, even some of the eucalyptus trees are venomous. The ones that aren't harbor drop bears.
Seals are harboured; drop bears require more substantial support.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Steve: Are you allowed to hunt drop bears in Australia?
ReplyDeleteNo Paco, drop bears hunt you.
ReplyDeleteSteve, is there anything in Oz that isn't venomous?
Australian song to attract the tourists.

See, the trees here grow upside down.
ReplyDeleteI came upon an Eastern Brown Snake a few days ago. I was barefoot and he was inches away. But I like their temperament - he reared at me like a cobra (the do that I've found) but then politely moved over for me to pass.

"The eastern brown snake is considered to be the second most venomous terrestrial snake."
I'd met this guy before and he's always polite, I consider him a friend!
Bruce: You move in some dangerous company!
