Only cops should have guns (Part CCXL)

A sniper rifle and an M-16 were pinched from an FBI vehicle in Massachusetts.

Way to watch, guys!

Update: The guns were stolen by a 16-year-old boy. The $20,000 reward is being paid out to an unnamed resident of the town where the guns were stolen.

$20,000 reward. Are they gold plated?

I'd say that 20k reward is inflated by embarrassment.

Not to worry, it isn't like the NRA got their hand on them or anything.

Good luck with getting them back, idiots!

Yeah, good luck.

Smiles as he locks up two new items in his gun locker.

Regarding the update.....

If a 16 year old boy is able to abscond with these "dangerous" (yeah, right) weapons during a random vehicle break in, they were NOT secured worth a damn. Dollars to doughnuts, they were in carry cases in the rear. Grab and go, yeah! Probably a new gang banger making his rounds.

And that $20G reward was not set just by embarrassment, it was a bribe to other gang bangers, to cover the collective ass of the FBI. Car break ins are a problem across the nation; we have them in the small town where I live, and they are gang related. I got this straight from police force members with no reason to lie. The FBI knows this very well. They wanted to make certain the weapons were returned, so they could report "Weapons secured!"

The agent that parked the vehicle at his home might get a letter of reprimand, but little more. Unless the state DA is willing to take on the DOJ by pressing charges of "Failure to secure a large capacity firearm" (yeah, right). Otherwise, expect this to be swept under the rug.

Who, me, cynical? Oh, perish the thought!
