While we're at it, why don't we just cut the constitution into little strips and roll a bunch of joints?

A history professor argues that Obama should be permitted to run for a third term.

  1. Yeah, I want a President who only does the right thing because he's afraid he won't be reelected, not because...you know...he knows it's the right thing to do.

  2. This has been suggested by various nutballs on and off for the last five years. I expect it will pick up steam the closer we get to 2016, but God forbid it should ever gain traction among the sane.

  3. You mean give him a Mulligan? Sure, why not... no point in dumping on the poor guy just as he's getting the knack of things.

So who's up for an Enabling Act? Oh wait, has the Reichstag burned down yet?

  4. Somehow, I think Hillary would not be disposed to endorsing this position - not at this time, at any rate.

  5. Deborah .... A history professor? His students should get a refund, and NYU should fire him so he can devote time to study why the Founding Fathers put term limits in place.

  6. He's at NYU so such beliefs should be considered par for the course. Apparently, academic achievement is considered silly and socially unacceptable at that institution.

    Cheers

  7. Unless the commies bypass the Constitution in order to amend the Constitution, there isn't a snowball's chance in Hell for the repeal of the 20th Amendment. Count the number of states that rejected ObamaCare, for starters.

I won't put it past them to try, though.
