"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Barbara WaWa has been in the news a lot lately. One can only hope this is her bon voyage into retirement and well-deserved obscurity.
ReplyDeleteAt least some people have proper priorities when it comes Baba WaWa.
ReplyDeleteFor myself, I am happy to report that I haven't watched the old bitty for years.
Barbara Walters and Peggy Noonan are in the same boat. It's interesting that the weirder one came clean first.
ReplyDelete"We must appease the angry gods. Why do they hate us?"

The true realists who see through this are sadly in a minority.
Bruce: It kind of reminds me of the old fable about the frogs who prayed for a king.
ReplyDeleteNew York lawyer Preeti Bharara (Time magazine favourite) is well on the way to creating a major diplomatic incident on what appears to me to be a minor and harmless matter. Has he gone too far? Who will stop him if he has? He sees himself as some sort of Elliot Ness figure, but now he's gone global, supposedly a universal enforcer. Of what? I don't see how what he does is related to the US Constitution and Founding principles.
