Bad movie alert

Rich Hollywood elitist (and major Obama donor) Harvey Weinstein is teaming up with Meryl Streep to make an anti-gun movie. Watch out, NRA! This flick is supposedly going to make you guys "wish [you] weren't alive".

Pity. One would have thought there was at least a small chance that someone who portrayed a concentration camp survivor would have a better understanding about the connection between gun ownership and freedom.

Update: Good thing this guy doesn't listen to Harvey Weinstein.

Clearly, the so-called "elites" sitting on their butts in Hollywood need to get a clue, and a life.

Not that I expect that to happen. It's just that I used to like Hollywood.

That's scary!

Why, it could have the same effect on gun owners, that An Inconvenient Truth had on AGW deniers.

Oh...wait. Never mind.

The NRA probably won't even notice that movie, because it will be just another Hollywood lefty bomb that nobody will bother to see.

With apologies to the barnyard animal.

Deborah.... The Progs are trying to do to guns what they did to cigarettes. But they haven't realized the number of Constitution-lovers and law abiding gun owners . Harvey can waste his money on any fantasy his cocktail party attendees will laud him for. It's a free country. The NRA is probably saying, "Bring it".

In the Progs .skewed view of history, there wouldn't have been Nazis without guns. So, by Harvey's thinking, the Jews shouldn't have had guns, but if they just found some lying around....

And the beauty of it is, if the movie, against all odds, becomes a commercial success, gun sales will once again go through the roof.

So how will he take away the guns?

Oh right, the government guys with guns will take away the guns from private citizens. Yeah, liberalism in a nutshell.

Harvey Weinstein is PRO-gun he just hasn't realized it yet (audio)

Harvey Weinstein : [referencing the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising] This has been a project I've searched for ever since my aunt gave me the book when I was a boy. It's an important story to tell.
Howard Stern : …holocaust story
Harvey Weinstein : It's not a holocaust story as much as it's jews with guns. It's my whole philosophy, or anybody, it's the idea that when injustice is that great then you can't just march into the camps. This is the story that's the opposite.
Howard Stern : Do you own a gun?
Harvey Weinstein : No
Howard Stern : You don't have any guns?
Harvey Weinstein : I don't ever wanna have a gun
Howard Stern : Well, why, if that story resonates with you, why not own a gun?
Harvey Weinstein : No, this is, this is when you're marching a half a million people into Auschwitz.
Howard Stern : Right
Harvey Weinstein : I mean , whatever, I'd find a gun if that was happening to my people. I don't think we need guns in this country. …

And he'll get a fire extinguisher after the house is nearly burnt down. I don't think he's really given gun control much thought or he'd have realized that if those in the Warsaw Ghetto could have found 50,000+ guns to arm themselves then they probably would have. He needs to ask why they didn't.
