…what in hell makes some people think that he will enforce legislation mandating secure borders? (Yeah, that’s right, I’m looking at you, Paul Ryan).
Related question: why are so many Republicans – not just the incurably dull-witted types, like John Boehner, but genuinely bright young men like Paul Ryan and Marco Rubio – risking so much political capital on an issue that, as recent polls have shown, is near the bottom of the respondents’ list of priorities - especially in an environment where Obama and the Democratic party are vulnerable on several key issues of far greater interest to the American people?

C'mon Paco, what part of 'The Stupid Party' haven't you understood so far?
ReplyDeleteMy advice is let it burn and start burnishing your skills which are transferable to the Gulch.
Oh, I get the stupid part. And some of these guys (John McCain, John Boehner) really do seem to have warped thought boxes. But I wonder about some of the others. Maybe pusillanimity figures in it, or willful blindness, or just plain defeatism.
ReplyDeleteBoehner, McCain and their staffs don't concern themselves with little guys like Drudge, or Instapundit, or Paco. It takes someone like Jon Stewart to wake them to the possibility that their positions may be subject to the slightest question.
