Cats!

"Cat gives owner bubonic plague".
After accidentally being bit by his cat, Paul Gaylord is lucky to be alive. His cat had infected Gaylord with the plague.

    Accidentally? Sure, just like Paul 'accidentally' started buying Brand X cat food last month.
