I know betting systems that are more reliable than this

36 Chambers draws attention to the fact that most climate models are wrong (sounds more like unsettled science to me).

I suppose the old flat earth consensus was pretty popular in its day, too.

But, a bunch of Democrats stayed up all night talking about it.

Sane people wouldn't do that if it was not a problem, right?

Oh, wait...

They don't care. Facts, pfft! Those are just in the way of the biggest money-making scheme in human history.

Deborah... Senator "Lorax" Markey's staffer and I had a very nice discussion yesterday. She said her class is learning about climate change right now. They didn't taught her about prehistoric regions such as northern Arizona that was once a verdant forest as evidenced by the Petrified Forest. There was no mention of the Moche, the ancient pre-Peruvian civilization that practiced human sacrifice to assuage the gods from long periods of rain, and long periods of drought. There was no industrialization on the planet. Yet they told her that the models can predict future weather patterns for millions of years. I rebutted that meteorlogists can't acccurately predict next week. I proved the fraud that is Al Gore by showing how he moved from Global Ice Age ('74/'75) to Global Warming to Climate Change every time his predictions were wrong. Further, that none of these predictions have come true. Miami's shoreline has not significantly changed as predicted.

Her parents need to get a refund.

There is a huge difference, unlike betting, global warmmongering always pays off.

The Etruscans had this great system for predicting the future called the Haruspex which was right a lot of the time, and most scientists and politicians in its day swore by it.

The Haruspex, eh? Maybe I'll re-brand that as the Paco Prognosticator.

OT: Chaos in Malaysia caused by 'affirmative action':

"Geetha-

Still very sad that the quota policy for bumiputra (affirmative action for Malays) has created a Malaysia of incompetent civil servants, doctors, you name it. The very competent Indians and Chinese are never given a chance. You have to be the cream of the crop Indian or Chinese Malaysian to get into the University in Malaysia, but could be even a D student if you are a Malay. My Malay friends in Malaysia don't even trust Malay doctors, since you know an Indian or Chinese doctor will be the best. This whole situation of incompetent press conferences and investigations just is a larger system of the Malaysian government policy coming home to ruse. I am and ethnically Indian former Malaysian who had a lot to offer but knew in Malaysia I will never get promoted or get a good because I am Indian. So I left and came to the U.S. to study, got my Ph.D and became and economist. Thank the U.S."
