Waiting, waiting...

Former IRS capo Lois Lerner was obviously neck-deep in political efforts to stifle conservative PACs during the last election cycle. House Oversight Committee chairman Daryl Issa is "weighing whether the committee should vote on holding Lerner in contempt of Congress for providing false or misleading information."

When this committee does anything but issue bombastic denunciations and empty threats, I'll be sure to take note. Let me know when the "weighing" is over, congressman.

  1. They could just change the name to something more accurate: the House Overlook Committee.

  2. Ran across a Daily Caller article indicating "progress" of the kind Obama's White House should fear.

  4. Deborah... She should be held in contempt. There should be some action against Elijah Cummings outburst. Insubordinatiion is very unbecoming. But then what do we expect from a donkey's ass.

I can personally attest to the targetiing of one group. The Democrats would have heard Karen Kenney of San Fernando Tea Party Patriots if they had not walked out of the hearing. Karen's group is a small one that meets in a
room at a restaurant. The purpose is to inform, educate, and promote 1) the Constitution, 2) limited government, 3) economics, 4) American history. The IRS requested information on the members. The targeting has caused great emotional and financial stress for my friend. But the Dems haven't won. The group continues and grows under Dr. Kenney's able leadership.

  6. Deborah... Sorry about the long post. It took everything before I could ask about Mrs. Paco...or it was the weather?

    Paco, how is Mrs. P?

  8. He could have charged me with contempt of Congress anytime over the past 8 years.

In my defense, they're pretty contemptible.

  9. Bruce, if Lerner had told the truth about her culpability before a congressional committee, she could then have been charged with a crime by the federal government (if the statutes applied). The fact that she took the fifth means she did something she knew was illegal.

  10. "The weighing is the hardest part," Tom Petty almost sang.
