Alone among federal agencies, the State Department under Clinton was the one agency – the one with ultimate decision-making authority - that refused to brand Boko Haram as a terrorist organization. Pretty curious considering the fact that this Al-Qaeda-linked group is one of the most murderous outfits on the planet, having slaughtered thousands of Christians in West Africa, and lately having distinguishing itself by kidnapping hundreds of young girls and threatening to sell them into sexual bondage.
Heckuva job, Hill!
Update: Much more from Andrew McCarthy.

Deborah.... Let the tap dancing and stuttering/sputtering begin. No doubt the shrill refrain of "At this point, what does it matter? Let's see how they try to get out of this one.
ReplyDeleteNow that these poor girls are Hollywood's cause celeb, Boko Haram will surely release them.
There must be a delegation forming to negotiate their release. Bill Clinton is a sure bet to head (yes, it is double...) it.
It's interesting that there is little to no coverage of the slaughter of the boys in the villages. Nor candlelight vigils.
But what difference at this stage...oh, wait...
ReplyDeleteThat's why Republican control of the House and Senate is so crucial (even though it will probably be Establishment types). If Billary is elected in 2016, then she needs to be a lame duck from the very outset.
ReplyDeleteAnd how does the caring-sharing demographic respond to Boko Haram's kidnapping of schoolgirls? Selfies.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's going to work.
