Oh, sure, that's plausible

Lois Lerner's emails, from a key period when she was targeting conservative organizations, have supposedly vanished due to a computer "crash".

Update: Offered free of charge, as a public service.

  1. Backup is or should be a legal requirement, so it should be a crime merely to claim emails are 'lost'.

Didn't they jail Conrad Black for something far less dubious?

  2. Bruce: I suspect there is backup; it's just a matter of how far the committee is willing to push its investigation.

  3. Wouldn't the White House and the other agencies have copies of the emails that were sent to them? Do they honestly expect America to believe that these emails are "lost"?

  5. Astonishing and insulting. I trust the DOJ will be right on the case.

We had in our humble Ontario Provincial politics a scandal about erased e-mails.

The Provincial Police is of course right on the case. Awaiting news any year now.
