"The President That Richard Nixon Always Wanted To Be"

Jonathan Turley, in an interview with Sean Hannity, on the imperial presidency of Barack Obama. This line particularly caught my attention: "Well, unfortunately our system is changing, and it's changing without a debate [emphasis mine - Paco]. Or even a discussion about what we're going to do in the future when we have a three branch system, a tripartite system but one branch is so dominant."

Without a debate. Just why is that, Senator McConnell, Congressman Boehner?

Update: More from George Will, with specific reference to the recent prisoner exchange.

  1. Well, I see someone said 'You better not do this again Mr President'.

Bit like the UN, expressing 'serious concern'.

  2. Yeah, to the GOP, this is a feature, not a bug.

  3. It is incredible that the Obama handlers thought this a good idea.

It is amazing how this has outraged most of America.

It is further stunning how wet the Republican response is.

  4. The size of the disconnect, the administration in a whole and digging faster, unbelievable.

  5. Obama is not only trying to convince the American people that what he did was right, now he has to explain it to our erstwhile allies. The man has walls around his ego that are a foot thick.
