October 29 marked the 60th anniversary of the last Hornet automobile manufactured by Hudson before the company merged with Nash to form American Motors.

A merger which led to the 1963 Rambler, one of which my grandmother purchased in the summer of that year. I went with my dad when he took her to the dealer to pick it up, and I got to ride home with her...my first ride in a brand new car! Heady stuff for a ten year old!
My dad got that car when she passed away. Don't know where it went, but I wish now that I had thought to claim it.
