Us vs. them

Angelo Codevilla puts the ruling class under the microscope and sees some ugly little beasties, indeed. A sample:
Our ruling class's agenda is power for itself. While it stakes its claim through intellectual-moral pretense, it holds power by one of the oldest and most prosaic of means: patronage and promises thereof. Like left-wing parties always and everywhere, it is a "machine," that is, based on providing tangible rewards to its members. Such parties often provide rank-and-file activists with modest livelihoods and enhance mightily the upper levels' wealth. Because this is so, whatever else such parties might accomplish, they must feed the machine by transferring money or jobs or privileges -- civic as well as economic -- to the party's clients, directly or indirectly.

Bobby Jindal is exceptional, as far as I can see. I spend a lot of time among people of Indian descent and Jindal and his wife don't fit any stereotype except as hardworking straight-talking Americans, able to say things others don't (stupid pommies too, you think an Indian wouldn't know about no-go areas versus pc BBC idiots? He's beat them from both sides but they pretend). The problem is a decent straight-talking person gets drowned out in the school-yard-gone-large cacophony these days.

Al Gore who used the issue of explicit rap-music lyrics to get elected now will share the stage with Pharell for climate-scamming. We're pretty much at the Whore of Babylon stage of Revelation now aren't we?

The two bestest Repub candidates I can think of are both Governors:

Jindal and Walker from Wisconsin. Forget the establishment and who the hell wants ANOTHER Bush? Romney's a decent fellow but just another part of the political establishment

If any establishment republican gets the nomination, the above mentioned, Christie, etc. then the Conservatives stay home and a democrat establishment member gets the job.

The object in that case is to influence which Dem. Hey, they use the Dems against us, payback is a bitch. We don't have to get married, after all, just dump some idiots.
