Some real nice playing there, individual and ensemble. Would have been 1st class with a nice singer.
ReplyDeleteChicago used to be a really creative place, when all the delta people moved in there and electrified their guitars and harmonicas a whole new sound was born.
ReplyDeleteA great big band town, too. Earl Hines and his Grand Terrace Orchestra in the late 30s and early 40s was one of the hottest swing bands of the era.
