Hey, what happened to the global warming tipping point?

The time has run out on Al Gore's doomsday clock - and, strangely, here we all still are.

  1. Considering all that snow, I suspect he's somewhere in hiding on your side of the continent, Paco.

  2. Where is ol' Al on such an auspicious occasion? Probably cooking up another scheme to save face. His face, our freedom and wallets.

  3. Al Gore reminds me of some of the whacky Americans I've met over here. If you ever wonder why people overseas have mixed opinions about Americans, blame guys like my old friend Ed:

Ed's ok, crazy but basically alright on a day-to-day basis: He helped me distinguish between decent people and criminals when we worked together 30 years ago and I was more innocent.

This guy on the other hand is a creep:

Both these guys father's were USAF. Ed's father flew SAC missions he says, Thom says his father was a general. 40 years ago I worked closely with Thom, back then he looked like a Mormon missionary in a suit, clean cut. People thought he was like an angel. Part of his appeal was his American accent. Girls swooned...

Actually considering how many American snake oil salesmen there are, I'm surprised people aren't more skeptical of Al Gore etc.

  4. He'll probably announce any day now that we're all too stupid to understand such a complicated science, so we didn't understand what he meant...and just shut up!

  5. The phenomenon is cyclic; it repeats itself every decade. Down our way (Canberra) the summer has been coolish and rainy.
