One of my least favorite actors, ever. I don't think I've ever watched any movie he was in, and I only watched Taxi because of Marilu Henner. Small body, small mind I guess.
Actually I'd say Americans aren't racist enough. Like my heroes: the wise old men who ran the British Empire, you need to notice when you're being scammed in a particular ethnic style. Example, Disney took advice from "Cognizant" which happens to be run by Indians Mahadeva and D'Souza (old Indo-Portuguese name). "Yes Disney Saheeb, I will find Indian H1B1 slave workers, big profit for you Saheeb! All legal Saheeb, you not to worry". I have personal stories I won't bore you with, to the effect that, yes they would sell their own grandmothers. Indians have been running exploitative scams since the days of the Roman Empire. You can't run anything for long without a bit of racism, or "profiling", or if you do want to have a race-blind society you need to have very strong borders and be very careful who you let in. The world will tend to see American notions of equality as weakness, which everyone knows but have been silenced over.
Try a peek at DeVito's movie 'The Jewel of the Nile' he is the most vulgar racist little s**t. I'm sure he'd say it was jut a role and 'humor' but I think it was mostly type casting.
Most people don't seem to know DeVito's work with "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" which is a very funny Irish self-deprecating show, very adults only though, nsfw etc. In one episode DeVito painst himself black..., and there's much worse than that.
My wife's sister is married to an Italian from Noo Joisey. She had to move to Miami to get away from the inlaws who treated her as 2nd class due to her color. I think DeVito is talking specifically about them.

She came from a family of subsistence farmers in a poor country' got on Sesame Street (her father was a NY cop), then did "African Studies" at Harvard. WTF has gone wrong with America, when 3rd world people do "African Studies" instead of something practical?)
Danny was funny in the tv show "Taxi", and I do enjoy his current commercial with George Clooney, but wouldn't waste my time or money on him. He is vulgar and creepy, which is not a good pairing for anyone, especially one who is short.
