At first it looks posed, but she has a kind of melancholy wistfulness which makes you look twice. Under the more smiling gaze of her portrait on the mantel. Yes, you've caught something special in that moment. She seems very photogenic anyway.
ReplyDeleteWell, she did have a virus of some kind; had been running a fever for a couple of days. That's about the only thing that makes Pacos melancholy (that, and no bacon to go with the pancakes).
