Sorry, Cankles, those recounts aren't going to clear your path to the White House

Green Party candidate Jill Stein's strange interest in the possibility of voting irregularities in three states Hillary was expected to win is unlikely to lead to any significant change in the results of the election (except perhaps to widen Trump's lead).

No, Hillary's somehow just going to have to find a way to wrap what's left of her mind around the fact that she lost. And she should spare herself the indignity of pressing her nose against the window like an adult version of the little match girl.

Plus, Jill Stein's running mate Does Not Approve of her recount effort.

It seems that Ajamu Baraka is concerned the recount effort, get this, "...threatens to damage the standing and reputation of the Green party, its supporters, and activists." No, really?

Not to mention, "It would be seen as carrying the water for the Democrats."

Imagine that.

I think it's a last ditch effort to scam money out of gullible Democrat voters. Only these days, they ain't so gullible anymore.

Dems are doing the Doomsday prep thing. Of course for them, cannibalism is always the first option, not the last.

Recounts, if done fairly, are likely to turn up all those Dem voters who are dead, nonexistent, multiple voters shuttled from precinct to precinct by the Dem GOTV organization, and aliens (especially illegal ones) voting after Obama's guarantee that the immigration officials won't go after them. If all such "voters" around the country were identified and subtracted from the totals, Hillary's advantage in the "popular vote" totals would vanish. In any case, her advantage is accounted for almost entirely by the votes of California. That shows that the Electoral College is working as intended, preventing one or two large population states from lording it over all the smaller population states.

Ditching the Electoral College would be like the winners of NFL divisions being the teams that scored the most points in a season, rather than the most victories.

Thank God for the wisdom of the Founding Fathers! We don't want the likes of California inflicting, er, picking the President.

Great analogy!

BTW, Can a "Hail Mary" pass still be referred to as a "Hail Mary"?

'BTW, Can a "Hail Mary" pass still be referred to as a "Hail Mary"?'

For the time being, Deborah.
The progressives are pushing to change the terminology to "Hail Moloch"; but there is resistance from the players who fear the effect it may have on their pass completion percentages.

Was it ever really a serious attempt? Looking for reports in local media and through Google News, I was intrigued by the very very low-key coverage.
If Stein had had even a halfway possibility of success, I figure the MSM would have been wetting their pants with excitement and babbling like children on Christmas morning.
Apart from the money raised, it was just another exercise in hypocrisy and bad sportsmanship from the folks who do that best.

Gregory: I think you may be right. That's why I never got too worried about the whole thing.

But what about Cthulu?

I like that too, Mike. Is this fella a preacher? He's got the style.

Gregory, I don't know think Joe Dan is a preacher, though he obviously has an interest in truth.
Joe's bio is interesting.
