As I get older (rivaling dirt, in fact, and would be gone long ago if not for the miracles of medical science), I've discovered an appreciation for country music, even in its present form, but even more so for the antediluvian Appalachian music I used to roll my eyes at when my dad played it (on vinyl 78s). Despite the detractions of old age, there are compensations.

Will be missing from the feed for a while. Maybe, nothing drastic. Going west in an RV.

I feel exactly the same way. Old Paco listened to the stuff when I was a kid, and I used to wince. Now, there's quite a bit that I truly like.

There is alot tp see and do in the Hill Country of south Texas, and many fine RV parks. Bluebonnets are starting to bloom. We're about 40 miles west of San Antonio, and would love to take you out for lunch or dinner.

Love Country music, old and new. I didn't realize at the time that Patsy Cline was Country. She was a family favorite. So many greats!

We've been fortunate to have seen Charlie Daniels twice! Fantastic concerts! He and his band give their all.

Happy travelling RebeccaH.

There's an Aussie country music scene you know. My Dad was a fan of Slim Dusty:

I've been a fan of his daughter Anne:

There's an annual festival in Tamworth but I haven't been:

Last thing I saw was a touring band of French Canadians, boot-stomping accordion stuff. Loved it.
