What to think

If you haven't been watching the news lately, you may have lost track of "The Narrative". Not to worry: Paco Enterprises is here to help you get on board with acceptable progressive opinion.

Republican political candidate body-slams pushy reporter days before an election. He should, and, based on current polls, probably will lose the election [Update: Damn! He won anyway!] He deserves to be imprisoned for at least a decade, and have an "R" carved on his forehead with a shiv.

Self-styled "progressives" and "anarchists" attack peaceful Trump supporters. While lamentable (or, actually, maybe not), this is a normal reaction by the people to the illegitimacy of a Trump administration.
* * * * * * * * * *

Members of Trump campaign team have conversations with various Russian officials. Anonymous sources claim collusion. Obviously, where there's smoke, there's fire, and Trump should be impeached (after a totally objective investigation by Obama-era holdovers).

Democratic candidate for president uses illegal personal server to conduct official government business in an attempt to avoid transparency and cover up financial self-dealing. Sounds like typical Republican misogyny to us.

Islamic terrorists set off yet another bomb and kill a score of innocents, many of them children. The biggest threat to peace is the anti-Islamic backlash (bound to happen any day now).

Islamic terrorists massacre a score of Coptic Christians in Egypt. Meh. Plus, the Crusades.

  1. Don't forget Shovegate.

The President 'manhandles' a foreign leader during a photo op. Embarrasses the suddenly easily embarrassed drive-by media.

  2. And Egypt immediately bombed the terror bases:

The fake news barrage is what they did to our Tony Abbott, like sucker fish they start a feeding frenzy on him and hope to bring him down, the leeches of the vampire press.

But hey, who knew the press could criticise a President? Oh brave new world, when did we see such determined critics? Not for the last 8 years anyway. Borderline Personality Disorder has wild swings from idealisation to devaluation in relationships, and suicidal fear of abandonment: the BPD press. Mental illness sure is on the rise.

    1. Our Constitution gaurantees freedom of the press. The press takes full advantage of it.

Currently, it's TDD, Trump Derangement Disorder. Previously, it was BDD, Bush Derangement Disorder. The "umbrella" that these disorders fall under is, of course, Leftism. It is a huge umbrella. "Liberalism is a mental disease." - Michael Savage. Well, it needs to be updated to "Leftism" since classic Liberalism no longer exists.

  3. Paco, the Happy Feet thread won't publish my comment, but this thread will. What the neck?

How's Mrs. Paco? Please give her our best.

  4. Deb: Mrs. Paco's doing pretty well; a little pain, but manageable. I really have to salute the folks at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital. Everyone, from the surgeon to the nurses to the nurses' assistants, were wonderful. Very caring people who know their stuff.

  5. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for Mrs. Paco!

BTW, my niece is a NICU nurse at the Inova Fairfax Children's Hospital, not to far from the Fair Oaks Hospital. Soon to become a NP.

  6. R-man: Awesome! Inova Fairfax is where Mrs. Paco had her original hip surgery; it's just a few miles from our house. Also a great facility.

    1. Psst. It was Rebecca, not R-man whose niece is at Fairfax, and is about to become a NP. My prescription (tho I didn't stay at Holiday Inn last night) is more sleep or perhaps caffeine...your call.

  7. Thanks, Deborah. Don't want to sound like I'm bragging, but she'll probably be one of those NPs that lead you to have such high regards for NPs. She's smart, and she cares.

Oh, and Paco, I would suggest that if you ever need a NP to look up my niece. But, she'll still be in the NICU, so I'm thinking at your age that wouldn't do you much good. :)
