Rep. Scalise shot in Alexandria, Va.

Republican Congressman Steve Scalise and two members of his protective detail were shot at baseball practice in Alexandria, Va. PJ Media's Hot Mic is providing updates. Story still unfolding.

Update: David Frum wastes no time in disparaging Virginia's gun laws, demonstrating (a) gross insensitivity and (b) first degree dumbassery.
Virginia:
No background checks
No licensing
No registration
No permit req’d for concealed carry of long guns
Open carry long guns & handguns
He is rigorously schooled (see at the linked site). My favorite:
VA has background checks, and unless you are 10 feet tall with 4ft pockets you are not concealing a rifle.
Update II: Shooter dead. Activist anti-Republican. Climate of hate, anyone?

It looks bad alright, as reports come in. I can't help noticing the Virginia election on the same day, although that can only be a part of it.

I'm truly sorry to say, it was only a matter of time.

Obviously, it's Trump's fault. He should have refused to take the oath of office, and named Hilliary as the rightfully elected President.*

*Okay, convince me that there aren't a scary large number of Dimocrats who believe that!

Addendum to previous comment: Also, obviously, even more insane Bernie supporters.

I'm reflecting on how many over-60s would be likely to go this far.

There are always a few crazy curmudgeons: loners, isolated, obsessed.

I read of many cases of old men going 'rambo' in both Europe and China. They never achieve anything, except notoriety.

This climate of hate is a feature, not a bug, of the lefties.
