Well, really, how smart does a bearded dragon have to be? If he/she is smart enough to mate with her/him, and can catch bugs, what more do they need?
Do the global warming researchers need the dragon's massive intellect, to cure global warming?
Well, that explains it. Saw a bearded dragon the other day and he was dumb as a rock. Nothing like the bearded dragons back in my day.
I barely knew that creatures called bearded dragons even existed, let alone that they were supposed to be intelligent.
We need lizards that can open sliding doors, why? Didn't any of these people see Jurrasic World!
I note that the researchers make some unfounded assumptions, not least that smarter bearded dragons are more likely to mimic the behaviour they see on a video. However, is that necessarily true? Are smarter children more or less likely to jump off the roof of a house, for example, if they have just watched an actor, playing the part of a superhero, do so? The smartest of bearded dragons, I warrant, having just watched a video of a less intelligent bearded dragon open a sliding door may well be reasoning along the lines of, “Well, that does not seem too difficult a task but blowed if I bother going out of my way to copy that seemingly fruitless behaviour just to satisfy the whims of researchers so feebleminded that they believe in the pseudo-scientific scam of CAGW.”
Coming soon: climate change may be making kangaroos more punchy.
