Dept. of Odd Analogies

According to feminist, er, intellectual, Marcie Bianco, colonizing space is the same thing as sexual assault (although she puts it more colorfully).

I bet she's just upset because rockets are shaped like a penis, not like a vagina.

Lost in Space - the males do all the exciting stuff while the ladies make meals and look pretty. But does she realise that Jonathan Harris steals the show? Clown-archy beats patriarchy any day. 'Oh the pain, the pain!'

I have been reading science fiction since I first discovered it on a shelf in the local library. I was 13 years old, and I've wanted to go into space ever since then, especially to Mars (I was crushed when I found out Bradbury's "Martian Chronicles" weren't an accurate description of the planet). Now I rely on hard scifi tv shows like "The Expanse" (absolutely one of the best ever made, IMO), and "Mars", which is half-documentary, half-drama. I guess all this makes me part of the patriarchy, or one of those submissive women who don't know what's good for us, right? Phah!

Space, the rapey frontier. These are the voyages of the rapeship Enterprise. It's 5 year emission, to rape new life, new civilizations, to boldly rape where no man has raped before!

I'm sorry that poor girl, what's her name, was molested, they all were, that's why they got so twisted, and that's why pedos need to be dealt the death penalty, but there's a point where the victim needs to...what? Counseling? Something? I don't know.
