A different sort of gun controversy

Did Wyatt Earp use a custom Colt single-action or a Smith & Wesson top-break revolver in the shootout at the OK Corral?

Oh, please! Wyatt Earp didn't use some penny ante pistol at the OK Corral gunfight.

It's true! Check out this hysterical archive photo of the actual gunfight in progress.

Looks like the Clantons never had a chance!

When I was younger, some friends and I would occasionally sneak off down to the river bottoms along the river bank, with our favorite "assault rifles" (really, just semi autos) and do some plinking. Cans and such. But, the last thing before we headed home, we had what we called a "mad minute", blasting away at the far bank with everything we had. I always thought it was pretty impressive....until I saw that scene in Predator.

Turns out, we were seriously undergunned.

We occasionally had a "mad minute" on the firing line during qualifications, r-man, mostly when we were told not to turn in any unused ammo. Or we didn't want to go through the bother of storing unused ammo until we could turn it in -- residue was much easier to secure and account for.
