Who's surprised? Let's see a show of hands.

"Washington, D.C., harbors the greatest share of psychopaths in the US".

Harbors? Or generates?

The least psychopathic are predominantly rural areas.

Well, I've always thought you have to be crazy to WANT to live in a place like Washington, DC.
And that's one reason why I live in the edge of a cornfield.

I believe this wholeheartedly. Of course, not all psychopaths become criminals, since studies have shown that a high number of them become corporate CEOs and the like. But I do believe there has to be some level of sociopathy or psychopathy in anyone who wants to be a career politician.

Truer words were never spoken.

We might be neighbors. Back in '13, Richard and I discarded the insanity of Los Angeles for the corn life.

I can say that whenever I passed through and saw all that marble I would start feeling some of those...you know..."feelings"...I would think of people I knew at home and start to just know that I was somehow...special...you know?

The feeling would fade maybe 50 miles down the road.

Sad news. Matt "Guitar" Murphy, gone at 88.

Jonah: The siren song of power. I knew plenty of people at much lower levels than one reads about in the newspapers or online who were equally infected with powerlust in their own little bureaucratic fiefdoms.

R-man: Quite a few of my colleagues made rather a point of living in Washington, and the only reason I can imagine why is that they thought there was some sort of prestige attached to it. Brother, they're welcome to it. I'm so glad I'm now living in an area of low psychopathic concentration.

Are these numbers from before or after you left there, Paco?

Steve: Er, let me get back to you on that.
