Congratulations, New Jersey

You've just turned a whole lot of law-abiding citizens into potential felons: "NJ Doesn’t Say How It Will Enforce Magazine Confiscation After Court Upholds Law".

NJ, or anybody else, still has law abiding citizens? How is that possible?

What about the gang-bangers who have high cap mags? Will NJ cops resort to "stop and frisk" of known gang associates? No way, that would be "racist". Better to go after white, middle class tax payers.

In 1996, when law-abiding citizens were disarmed here in Australia, weapons capable of using a magazine holding more than 10 rounds had to be handed in to police to be destroyed. Fitting a smaller capacity magazine to such weapons did not save them from destruction.
When I handed in my long-loved semi-automatic .22 rifle I was reimbursed $100. A legally acceptable single-shot bolt-action replacement cost me $300.
Just to make sure that I don't run amok with it or use it for (illegal) self-defence against an intruder, it must be stored without its bolt in an approved firearms locker. The bolt and ammunition must be stored in other rooms.
State cops can (and do) call at my house and ask to see my weapons and check their serial numbers and safe storage.
Of course, citizens who are not law-abiding are not subject to these bothersome rules.
