James Comey, that self-identified paragon of integrity and moral uplift, will be testifying in a closed-door session of the House Judiciary Committee today. I doubt anything will come of it. I mean, the man knows where the real threat lies...

ReplyDeleteIn the 1750s, a paranoid British lord killed his valet. He was tried before the House of Lords (a jury of his peers), found guilty of murder, and hanged. This deed sent a shudder of horror though the aristocrats of Europe; that an aristo could be hanged for killing a mere commoner!
It would appear that our wannabe aristocrats don't have to worry about that.
