As noted in the comments, Tim Blair is now behind a fire wall

"Hey, Paco, look here! Tim's got a column in the paper!"

"Well, hand it over when you're done, Greg. Me and Jeff would like to read it, since we can't see it on the internet anymore. Bruce might be interested, too. Say, where IS Bruce, anyway?"

"Said he saw a dead possum out on the road and went to fetch it."

"Hallelujah! We've got meat for our stew tonight!"

Yeah, looks like the old gang has fallen on hard times. But we're happy for Tim, and we raise our bottles of Thunderbird in salute.

Timblair.net is not even archived anymore*. The name is someone else's site now. (o.O)

(*At least not that I could find.)

You mean the site I used to post on? The last one he had before his current location? All that hilarity just flushed down the memory hole? What a catastrophe!

I hear Tim's put an e on the end of his name now and wears fancy spats. But one day he'll remember the good honest folks he came from, when all his hooty tooty new friends leave him like last week's possum stew.

I knew all that book learnin would come to no good. Now he won't even read a letter if it has bad capitalisation. Always fussin about p's & q's.

Tim has indeed come a long way since his days as a cadet on the Melbourne Truth. Hard to describe exactly what the Truth was like - if you can imagine the Weekly World News with a form guide and a page three girl, you're pretty close.

He seems to make occasional trips to the US, to travel the back roads and eat. Maybe we could catch up with him, and "persuade" him to go back to the way it was in the "old days" of ten years ago.

Or, not.

If Tim ever drops by my part of Fly Over County, I'll take him to the range, and then buy him a beer.

After all, he bought me dinner in Kuwait.

Didn't know that, Jeff. I had dinner with him, and with Mr. Bingley and his family in Washington, DC years ago.

Any idea where old Wronwright is, or Andrea these days?

Tim has hung out with Iowahawk before, on visits to the US.

I tried to track Andrea down - the last blog I could find attached to her name died about ten years ago.
After Tim went to the Tele she had a series of blogs at different hosting sites.
Wronwright, I would think, is in the old blogger's retirement home by now.

Very late to this, but so pleased to find you're still posting, honourable Paco-san!
